Survivor Jane - Emergency/Survival Hygiene: A Prepper Cookbook for Making Survival Hygiene Products

frontcovereshrevised[1]
I instantly realized that this book is not just for the preparedness minded.  It is a wonderful resource for females of all ages, especially those who have concerns about the ‘stuff’ put in our everyday lotions and potions.  I would also recommend this book for men; there are several sections that would be useful for the ‘guys’ in our lives.  [Not just for their own personal use, but as an insight into things that they might have to deal with for the ladies involved in their preparedness plans].

Secret Greenhouse of Survival: How to Build the Ultimate Homestead & Prepper Greenhouse (Secret Garden of Survival) (Volume 2)

This is a must for ANY homesteading, self-sufficient or preparedness library! After reading and implementing some of Rick Austin's practices from' Secret Garden of Survival' I have been anxiously awaiting his newest book, The Secret Greenhouse of Survival. I was NOT disappointed! Rick has an amazing way of not only giving you the `what and why' but the how. Having a resource like this is priceless! He answered all my preconceived ideas of what I wanted to have to in a greenhouse and also showed me how expand this design into saving money with not-so-hard additions. The money I will be saving on this project plus the addition of heating my hot water will help to expand other areas of our self-sufficient homestead. I think we have another best seller here! This is a must for ANY homesteading, self-sufficient or preparedness library!

If you missed Rick's first book, here is a link to the Secret Garden of Survival. These would BOTH make wonderful Christmas Presents!

Book Review: The End (Book 1 of the New World Series) - G Michael Hopf

the end

The End was just the kick in the preps I have been looking for!

The love of one of my favorite Disaster Scenarios – EMP - was rejuvinated through the characters and scenarios that G. Michael Hopf brought to life in his novel, The End.

Book Review - Power Grid Down

Power Grid Down Blog Tour Review by Jen E.PDFPrintE-mail
power grid downWhether you have been prepping for 20 days or 20 years, this book will definitely get you thinking!  You will also learn many ways to look at your preparedness items and find new ways to use them.
Tara was able to not only inform and educate on the possibilities of EMP attacks, but also added new ideas and scenarios that I had never even heard of!  WOW did this really get me thinking and prompted some very interesting dinner conversations with family and friends.  I cannot tell you how many times her statement “According to the FAA, there are about 7,000 types of aircraft flying over the United States at any given time” has resonated in my mind, since reading her chapter on Weather Disaster, Solar Flares and EMP attacks.
